

Dr. Jerry Cook is a lifelong educator and proven school leader with more than 30 years of experience serving students, families, and communities across Kane County. With a career spanning the classroom, school, and district levels of administration, Dr. Cook brings a deep understanding of what it takes to support schools, strengthen educators, and improve outcomes for all students.
Dr. Cook served as a high school principal in multiple Kane County districts, including East Aurora School District 131 and School District U-46. As a principal, he led large, diverse school communities, focusing on improving student achievement, reducing chronic absenteeism, and creating inclusive, supportive learning environments. His leadership emphasized strong relationships with students and families, high expectations for staff, and systems that support both academic success and student well-being.
He holds a Doctorate in Educational Policy and Organizational Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Superintendent Certification. His work has consistently focused on improving instructional systems, supporting educators, and ensuring equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities for every student.
